Overview
Although synteny is in general poorly conserved in the Hemiascmycete yeasts, within phylogenetically delimited groups pairwise coverage is high and can be informative for studing genome dynamics.
Pairwise syntenic blocks available here were obtained by i-ADHoRE method (Simillion et al.) from homology relations identified using protein families. This computation produced approximatively 19,000 pairwise synteny blocks.
Syntenic blocks can be explored in the Genome Browser by searching either for a particular block, by identifier (e.g. syn_SAKL_KLTH.1); or for pairs between two genomes, using the keyword "synteny" and the pair of genome abbreviations (e.g. synteny SAKL ERGO).
